What’s next for Nelly Korda after break from the LPGA

Nelly Korda had an outstanding 2024 season, winning seven LPGA Tour events, including a major at the Chevron Championship, and securing the LPGA Player of the Year award.

Her most recent notable activity was competing in The ANNIKA in November 2024, where she won her seventh title of the year. Following that, the LPGA season concluded with the CME Group Tour Championship in late November 2024, where she finished T11. After the season ended, Korda, like most players, entered the off-season, a period typically used for rest, recovery, and preparation for the next year.

Looking ahead to 2025, the LPGA season has already begun, with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions taking place in January. However, Korda did not participate in that event or the subsequent LPGA Drive On Championship, which suggests she may be taking an extended break following her busy 2024 season or preparing for a later return.

Historically, Korda has sometimes skipped early-season events to focus on peak performance later in the year.

Her next likely appearance would be at one of the upcoming LPGA events in the spring of 2025.

Based on posts on X and her past patterns, she could return for the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship (March 20-23, 2025, in Palos Verdes, California) or the Ford Championship (March 27-30, 2025, in Gilbert, Arizona).

These tournaments mark the beginning of a busier stretch of the LPGA schedule, and given her status, she’s expected to compete in preparation for the first major of the year, the Chevron Championship, scheduled for April 17-20, 2025.
