Coldplay Forced to Reschedule Final Two Wembley Shows Due to London Underground Strike

Coldplay has announced that the final two concerts of their current Wembley Stadium run will be rescheduled, citing planned industrial action on the London Underground as the reason behind the change.

The band, who have been delivering a string of sold-out performances at the iconic London venue, expressed their regret in a statement shared with fans: “We’re sorry to announce that, due to planned industrial action on the London Underground, we’ve been forced to reschedule our final two concerts of the current Wembley Stadium run. We know many of you have been looking forward to these shows, and we’re deeply sorry for the inconvenience.”

The strike is expected to cause widespread disruption across London’s transport network, making it difficult for tens of thousands of fans to safely travel to and from Wembley. In the interest of safety and accessibility, the band and promoters made the decision to postpone rather than risk chaos on concert nights.

Fans holding tickets for the affected shows will be able to use them on the newly announced dates, with further details—including exact rescheduled dates—expected to be released in the coming days. Refund options will also be available for those unable to attend.

The announcement comes as a disappointment to many, but Coldplay reassured fans that the rescheduled shows will be worth the wait. “We can’t wait to finish this incredible run of concerts with you all at Wembley—just a little later than planned,” the statement added.

Despite the setback, the band’s Wembley residency has already been hailed as one of the most spectacular live runs of the year, with dazzling light displays, surprise guests, and the debut of their brand-new single “Feels Like I’m Falling In Love.”
