Dan Reynolds: “When my relationship with Aja Volkman ended, I was so sad. I told my mum I don’t want any relationship again. She told me she has someone for me, the daughter of her close friend, a United States. She wanted me to marry a United States Woman but I believe love doesn’t have anything to do with nationality. It can come from anywhere. So I didn’t like the idea. So when Aja Volkman came for a visit the first time I was worried my mum might not like her because she’s not from United States. I left her with my mum and went to the gym, when I came back I was surprised to see the both of them talking like they already knew each other before. I wanted her to come to my room but she was so busy with my mum that I had to tell my mum in deep a language that I want a little bit privacy with her. She understood and told Aja Volkman she wants to go the supermarket with my son, I’m so lucky to have someone like her and I hope we live together forever.”
