A former offensive analyst for the Oregon Ducks who now works for Louisiana State University was charged Monday with felony strangulation.
Antonio A. Parks is accused of strangling a woman after she posted a video titled “A Day in the Life of a Stay At Home Girlfriend,” according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Lane County Circuit Court.
Parks, 29, allegedly ordered the woman to delete the video, but when she refused he pushed her onto the bed in their apartment and strangled her for 30 to 60 seconds, the affidavit says.
The woman said the alleged attack happened in mid-December, and that she photographed her injuries on Dec. 17, according to the affidavit, which cites a police report written by Eugene police officer Jessica Ruch.
Ruch said in the affidavit she reviewed the photos and saw evidence of bruising and a scratch on the woman’s neck. On Sunday, the officer arrested Parks, who tried to downplay the incident as a late-night argument where the woman attacked him, the affidavit alleges.
It’s not clear what led to the delay between the allegations and Parks’ arrest.
“I maintain my innocence, and I know the truth,” Parks told The Oregonian/OregonLive. “I’m a low-level coach. It’s a waste of time to just go ahead and ruin someone’s career.”
The social media video has since been deleted. Parks spent two years coaching the Ducks but left after the 2024 season, according to university athletics spokesperson Jimmy Stanton.
Last month he took on a similar coaching role for the LSU Tigers, who said they are aware of the situation and “working through the appropriate parties.”
Parks was released from jail on conditional release Wednesday, records show.
